As Dean of the Graduate School and Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development, I take much pride in the quality and range of graduate programs offered at UWM.
Mentored and taught by an esteemed and dedicated group of faculty and academic staff, our graduates have gone on to flourishing careers in, for example, education as well as in government and industry.
Another important factor that you should take into account is the congeniality and hospitality of southeastern Wisconsin in general, and the metropolitan area of Milwaukee specifically. Small enough in size so that it does not have the traffic and crime problems of large cities, Milwaukee has all the attractions and amenities of the large city—theatre, music, and a vast array of recreational offerings.
