Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics
This certificate is designed for students who desire a sequence of graduate level courses that focus specifically on Business Analytics and that are delivered through an online instructional environment. The focus of the certificate is to train individuals to meet the growing global need for professionals with skills in Analytics tools and techniques. Students who complete this certificate will gain a substantial competitive edge in pursuing a career as a business analytics manager, business intelligence consultant, business analytics systems analyst, business analytics solution architect, business intelligence specialist, business intelligence analyst, business intelligence developer, BI & reporting manager, data mining/reporting analyst, marketing analytics consultant, or online marketing analytics manager.
Eligibility
Students currently enrolled in a UWM graduate program are eligible to earn the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics. Persons not currently enrolled must apply for admission to the Certificate and must possess, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of 2.75 or better. - Electives – 12 credits, choose from:
- Bus Adm 713 Business Forecasting Methods 3 cr
- Bus Adm 741 Web Mining and Analytics 3 cr
- Bus Adm 763 Marketing Analytics 3 cr
- Bus Adm 769 Database Marketing 3 cr
- Bus Adm 816 Business Intelligence Technologies & Solutions 3 cr
A maximum of 6 credits from the Certificate in Business Analytics may also count toward other UWM graduate degrees.
Graduation Requirements
Students must complete all coursework required for the certificate with at least a 3.0 GPA to have the certificate posted on the transcript at graduation. Students must complete all certificate courses within 3 years of initial enrollment in the certificate program.
